Chimichangas, a type of deep-fried burrito popular in Tex-Mex and other Southwestern American cuisines, are also available. A flour tortilla is usually filled with a variety of ingredients, most frequently rice, cheese, beans, and a meat like machaca, carne adobada, carne seca, or shredded chicken, and then folded into a rectangle bundle to make the dish. After that, it is deep-fried and served with carne asada, guacamole, salsa, or sour cream.
